Welcome to Norwich's first community fridge!

We're fighting food waste and supporting local people by collecting leftover food from food businesses and retailers and making it available for free to local residents and community groups.

Hubbub estimates that the average UK family wastes £810 a year by throwing away food and drink, and £3 billion is wasted by food sectors. Awareness of food waste is growing and community fridges are an innovative way of moving towards a solution and reducing food waste in our community. Along with the fridge we offer a drop-in where you can come for a cup of tea or coffee, a biscuit and an informal chat each week, Sharing ideas about how to get more active, dealing with stress, whats in our food and how to know whats good for us, mindfulness, recipes, wellbeing and much more. There are no experts, just neighbours wanting to look after their health together!

Why not join us in fighting food waste and supporting local people: we collect leftover food from food businesses and retailers and make it available for free to local residents and community groups.

The fridge is open in Heartsease Hive  NR7 9U):
