All are welcome
Who we are as a church
We are a friendly Anglican (Church of England) church at the heart of the Heartsease, learning and growing together to love God as we love our neighbours and ourselves - and trying to have fun doing it!
The people who make up our church family are diverse - children, teens and adults; married, single, widowed and divorced; born and bred on the Heartsease and from far away places; working, retired and on benefits... All are welcome, and all have something to offer to see the Kingdom of God grow in our neighbourhood.
We eat together, we worship and sing together, we cook for people together, we pray and learn together, we take care of people together and we try and have everything we do reflect the love and grace of God, which is a free gift to us.
What we think is important
One of the most important things at St Francis is that everybody feels welcome - we want to be a church where everyone feels comfortable and knows they have a part to play in building God's Kingdom here on Earth.
Jesus invites people follow him and we are learning to love and serve like Christ, so that we can be more fully the people we were created to be and experience the fullness of life God offers.
Faith lies at the heart of everything we do and sharing the love of God is our motivation for all our activities.
